WHAT IS IT ABOUT GREEN BAY?

For 70 years our space on the lake has been a beautiful landing place for so many … But it’s not the buildings. It’s not the location. It’s not the lake or the crazy games. It’s what happens when we set aside time and space to be together and open ourselves to Jesus. There’s something deep in all of us that comes alive when we are together and tune our hearts to Christ.

Since the beginning, and still today, we are committed as ever to impacting children and families with the transforming message of Jesus, and developing the next generation of community and church leaders our world so desperately needs.

Located on the shores of Okanagan Lake in West Kelowna, BC, Green Bay is a summer camp and year-round retreat and event facility.

OUR HEART

Green Bay was inspired out of a desire to strengthen families, love children, and develop the next generation of leaders. How do we do this? Well, first of all, we have a lot of fun. Nothing strengthens a family quite like time together, laughing, playing, and connecting.

We love kids and want them to know God has a plan and purpose for their lives. Our staff are committed to genuine care and love for the kids that come to our camps.

Through discipleship and mentorship, our leadership programs encourage young people to follow the call of Jesus in their lives, guiding them towards world-class leadership skills and a life full of purpose.

Most importantly, Christ is the center of it. The true heart of our camp. As we open our hearts to Him, together, in all the different ways Green Bay encourages, we grow, connect, and flourish.

WHERE IT
ALL BEGAN

Green Bay was founded in 1954, as Green Bay Baptist Camp. The camp was established as a missionary arm through the Northern American Baptist (NAB) denomination as a means of reaching youth with Christ’s message. Grounded in deep roots of faith, the founders envisioned a place to gather, play, celebrate, and experience hope.

Over time, Green Bay has developed excellent family camping programs, allowing attendees of all ages to connect together. Participants of the leadership programs serve as staff members, keeping the camp running according to Gospel values. The stunning lakefront property has a chapel and dining area, a year-round guest lodge, summer cabins, a full-size gymnasium, a huge field space, the largest enclosed dock on the lake, and so much more. 

As the camp has grown and changed, the heart of Green Bay remains the same – to love kids, strengthen families, and develop world class leaders as young people deepen their relationship with Christ. 

We bring people together with one real purpose in mind: Inspiring growth and building faith. We gather around the gospel of Jesus to grow in faith together. And we have so much fun along the way
