Enthusiastic individuals who have a passion to work with children and youth, Cabin Leaders are also required to fulfill various other roles at Green Bay. Leading or assisting in activities daily and building relationships with campers while doing it! Here are some of the positions that we look to fill by cabin leaders:

Head Guard: Position Filled!
Should the Head Guard be needed as a Sr. Cabin Leader, their first responsibility is to their cabin. With regard to the waterfront, this position works with and reports to the Waterfront Coordinator, ensuring that all safety procedures and policies are followed. Head guard specifically oversees the lifeguards, canoe/kayak instructors and spotters (on the blob tower); responsible for training and scheduling lifeguards throughout the summer. Current NLS and WSI certifications and experience in a lead/head guard role are required for this position. Knowledge in canoeing/kayaking is considered an asset, but not necessary.
Assistant Waterfront Coordinator: Position Filled!
The Assistant Waterfront Coordinator's first responsibility is to their cabin as a Senior Cabin Leader (when placed in a cabin). When responsibilities permit, the Assistant Waterfront Coordinator will be the first person that the Waterfront Coordinator will look to when there is a waterfront need (ex. trailer the boats). This person will be in charge of the waterfront when the Waterfront Coordinator is not around, and will assist the Waterfront Coordinator with all of their responsibilities (ensuring safety, keeping equipment in good order, overseeing the sales of the waterfront equipment, etc). The Assistant Waterfront Coordinator will report to the Program Coordinating team regarding their cabin leading responsibilities and the Waterfront Coordinator regarding their duties and performance on the waterfront.
Worship Coordinator: Position Filled!
The Worship Coordinator's first responsibility is to their cabin as a Senior Cabin Leader. This position is also responsible for planning and coordinating the worship at staff meetings, morning chapel, and evening campfires. This person does not necessarily need to always lead the worship (or even be a part of the band), but they are responsible for scheduling the band members, where necessary arranging and overseeing practices, and ensuring that songs are planned for each event and that music is printed for each band member. This person is also responsible for training and mentoring other summer staff in their skills leading worship. The Worship Coordinator is responsible to the Assistant Program Director.
Sports Coordinator: Position Filled!
The Sports Coordinator's first responsibility is to their cabin as a Senior Cabin Leader. A particularly gifted Senior Cabin Leader who has a passion for sports and the organizational and leadership skills to manage the camp's sports equipment. This individual will be responsible for coordinating daily and weekly sports events or tournaments throughout the summer. The Sports Coordinator will report to the Assistant Program Director.
Beads Coordinator: Position Filled!
The Beads Coordinator's first responsibility is to their cabin as a Senior Cabin Leader. A particularly gifted Senior Cabin Leader who has the financial and administrative skills to manage a small budget for purchasing and selling beads. Experience with making beaded necklaces/bracelets is required for this position. The Beads Coordinator will report to the Assistant Program Director.
Ceramics Assistant: Position Filled!
The Ceramics Assistant's first responsibility is to their cabin as a Senior Cabin Leader. This position is filled by a natural leader who has a keep interest and ability in ceramics and desire to serve. A quick learner who can take initiative, step in and fill a need and is very personable.
