The mentorship program is designed to challenge you in your personal walk with God, focus on your character development, cultivate teamwork, grow leadership skills, and encourage you in servant hood and hard work. Our goal is that with the experience and training you receive at GBBC, you will be equipped to serve in ministries in your church and your communities. Come be part of the incredible Green Bay community this summer for a life changing experience.
How It Works
As the title of the program indicates, at the heart is a strong emphasis on mentorship. The participant will be engaged in a 1-on-1 mentoring relationship as well as being part of a small DNA group (Discipleship, Nurture, Accountability) that will study the Gospels and Spiritual Disciplines together. There will be required readings and Bible Study materials.
The participant is part of the Activity Staff which requires being a cabin leader during Kids Camps and a Concierge during Family Camps. As an Activity Staff member, they will be supervised, trained and equipped in a specific area of camp. They will have scheduled shifts and expected to be on time, work hard and pursue excellence and take initiative in looking for ways to improve the area and make it run more smoothly.
MT participants are required to live on site at Green Bay for the summer as part of their program will be studying what it means to live in community together, the necessity of developing and nurturing spiritual friendships, finding healthy and biblical ways of resolving conflict and other issues that may arise and celebrating each other in the process!
Finding a way to serve is a core value of Green Bay and MT participants are expected to develop this quality. Going the extra mile in serving campers and co-workers wholeheartedly and respect for leadership is essential.
Everyone has something special….
at Green Bay we happen to love awesomeness. Come share your AWESOME with us!
Most importantly – we are looking for passionate, fun-loving, team oriented, church-going, Jesus-loving staff. You should love kids and family, dressing up, playing crazy games, staying up late, getting up early (you don’t have to love it, it’s just part of the gig), serving others, working with awesome people. But MOST OF ALL, we want you to love showing and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all of our campers and guests. We are inviting you to learn about yourself, learn about God, deepen your relationship with Jesus, develop valuable leadership skills, and experience an atmosphere of community and passionate living for God.
A GLIMPSE INTO A GBBC SUMMER
A summer at Green Bay is full of so many exciting activities and experiences. Friends you meet here and things you learn last a lifetime as you dive into what it means to lead a Christ centred life through study and service.
