Drop-off is 8:00 AM at the earliest and pick-up is by 5:30 PM at the latest. Both drop-off and pick-up are located at the main office building, in the gymnasium. Main group activities will not begin until between 8:30 and 9:00 in the morning when all the campers have arrived.
Our program will run alongside and follow the same basic structure as the overnight camp. We will participate in as many activities as possible and create unique complementary activites for the Day Camp kids where needed (for example: during overnight kids camp rest time, we will have a quiet type of activity). For their security your kids will move around camp from activity to activity under the supervision of a Day Camp leader.
Your kids will be enjoying a week of Green Bay camp, modified uniquely for them! They will circulate through all the activites such as ceramics, wall climbing, archery, kayaking, etc. They will join in on chapel time (there will be an alternative activity available at this time for those children who choose not to participate). They will also join in on free-time but this will be in smaller sections and under semi-supervision. For example a group of 10 kids are with one staff and allowed to choose between beach, dock, kayaking, bead cart, water toys or waterfront sports. They must ask permission to leave their group and go and join another group in a different activity. This way we know where and what the campers are doing at all times.
Yes, your child may participate in recreational waterfront, ceramics, bead cart or canteen if you provide appropriate additional funds by adding it to their TAB.
No, your child is not obligated to join these activities (nor are you required to pay for them). There will be an alternative offered, when needed, to ensure that each child has an activity to do and no one is left out! We no longer offer waterfront or SUP lessons for day campers.
The activity breakdown above is to help you determine the appropriate amount of money for your child to have at camp. All money allocated to the different activities are put onto a TAB for your child to draw from. We urge you to speak with your child before camp and discuss how you would like the money to be spent. At the end of camp you will receive a detailed printout of everything that your child has spent. Any remaining money over $5.00 will be refunded back to you at the end of the summer camp season (either back to your credit card or by cheque). Amounts less than $5.00 can be picked up in person from the camp office.
You can conveniently set up a TAB balance for your child online through your registration account (at the time of registration or any time after that, but prior to the start of your child’s camp).
REFER-A-FRIEND INCENTIVE PROGRAM
Refer-a-friend and save 25% off your registration fee!
Guidelines: To receive a 25% discount…
Both the Referred camper and the Referrer must contact the office to let us know about the referral. No refund can be issued until both notifications (email or phone) have been received. They must be received before the start-date of your camp in order to be eligible for the referral discount.
In the case of Day Campers the 25% discount will be based on the smaller of the two registrations, if not identical. For example, if the Referrer is attending a full week but the Referred camper only attends one day – the Referrer will receive a discount equivalent to 25% of one day’s registration fee.
Referred friend qualifies :
if they have never been to Green Bay before as a camper (Kids or Family Camp)
if the Referrer is not already receiving an additional discount
25% referral discount is not applied or refunded until the new friend has registered and paid for their camp.
If Referrer has already registered for camp, the discount will be refunded back to the credit card.
If the Referred friend cancels their registration, the Referrer will be expected to pay back the 25% discount.
Each child in a new family qualifies as one discount – For example, if one family refers another family who registers 2 children for a Kids Camp, the total discount to the referring family is 50% (2 x 25%).
Siblings do not qualify as referrals.
Contact the camp office for assistance if you would like to refer-a-friend. Call (250) 768-5884 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
